Ensuring your cargo reaches its destination

Specialising in the transportation of loose, palletised, baled and heavy lift cargoes - from animal feed and aggregates to refinery components and renewables devices.

Sand and Aggregates

Pembroke Port’s main deep water quay is used for regular importation of sea dredged aggregates. These are stored in a reserved yard on site and collected or delivered for use by the construction industry. Pembroke Port holds an operator’s licence and provides a logistics solution for onward delivery of sand and aggregates imported over the wharf. We can also handle palletised gritblast which we forklift to one of our fully secure industrial dry cargo sheds – ready for collection when you need it.

Animal feedstuffs

We offer a strategic location for the import of agricultural animal feed stuffs. The product is shipped over the quay and stored in two large dedicated units for future distribution to the feed mills in neighbouring counties. Throughput of animal feed has increased significantly and Pembroke Port has developed additional storage solutions to accommodate our clients’ specific needs.

Timber

The Port is ideal for consignments of timber. The product is discharged and located by our forklift trucks onto a central laydown area for outdoor storage. And with our year round access you can get your consignment precisely when it suits your business.

Fertiliser

We can handle shipments of fertiliser and ensure it is safely stored in one of our industrial dry cargo sheds. Conditions within the sheds are constantly monitored to ensure products are stored in their optimum environment and kept in the best condition for the end user.

Specialist cargo (e.g. fabrication units, refinery structures)

We specialise in moving the unusual – and this often means big. We’ve handled ultra cranes with a combined dockside weight of 3000 tonnes, the transfer of an onsite fabricated heat exchanger weighing over 380 tonnes with difficult proportions, and mass transportation of major refinery components (the largest of which weighed 400 tonnes). Our flexible and adaptive approach to site management means that we can identify an appropriate solution for a wide range of cargoes. With clear links to the motorway network, your product can be transported to its onward destination quickly – we even have an operator’s license so can potentially help you get it there. Alternatively, we have a choice of excellent on site storage and warehousing facilities if needed and offer 24/7 access.
