Port Engineering specialise in welding and fabrication requirements including steelwork repairs to buildings, repairs and maintenance to critical infrastructure, such as lock gates, ferry terminal loading ramps, large vessel pontoons, jetty refurbishment works and piling works.
All of the team are extremely experienced with working on or near water, in confined spaces and on construction sites, petrochemical and gas installations and therefore they are conversant with all relevant health and safety requirements and all employees have attained all necessary qualifications and competencies.
Port Engineering are currently accredited to ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS18001.
The team have extensive ship repair experience, both within the workforce and our management team and we are well versed as to the requirements of the major classification societies such as Lloyds, Bureau Vertitas and DNV.
Port Engineering are a preferred contractor for both Svitzer Marine and Hanson Aggregates and such is our reputation with these companies that they are prepared to bring their vessels to us from as far afield as London and the East Coast rather than utilise repair yards which are much closer to their areas of operation.
In addition, the team can provide a comprehensive ship repair, maintenance, dry dock, marine and mechanical engineering service to a wide range of vessels.
