Williams Shipping, a well-established marine and logistics company, has recently completed the installation of a new modular office complex at Pembroke Port. The investment reflects both the company’s continued growth in west Wales and the Port’s strength as a base for modern, resilient marine operations.
Williams Shipping at Pembroke Port
Since establishing their Pembroke operations in 2004, Williams Shipping has benefitted from the Port’s unique combination of deep-water access, heavy lift capabilities, mobilisation and laydown space, and direct ferry links to Ireland. These facilities, combined with a thriving local supply chain and close collaboration with neighbouring businesses such as Mainstay Marine and META, make Pembroke Port an ideal hub for both traditional marine services and emerging industries.
Their position at the heart of Quay 3 allows Williams Shipping to mobilise quickly, respond flexibly to client needs, and integrate seamlessly with the Port’s wider network of marine businesses.
“Pembroke Port has been an outstanding base for Williams Shipping for more than two decades. Its facilities and partnerships allow us to deliver responsive, flexible marine services, while our ongoing investment in new offices reflects our commitment to the people who make it possible. By upgrading our workspace, we are investing directly in our Pembroke team, ensuring they have the environment and support they need to continue delivering exceptional solutions and service for our clients.”
Philip Williams, Managing Director (Williams Shipping)
Investing in people and infrastructure
Earlier this year, Williams Shipping upgraded their facilities at Pembroke Port, replacing the previous portacabins with new modular offices that provide a smart, energy-efficient workspace designed to improve both functionality and staff wellbeing.
The upper cabin offers a clean, open-plan office and meeting room, while the lower level includes enhanced facilities for crew members, such as a mess room and a purpose-built drying room, vital for teams working in variable marine conditions.
These upgraded facilities reflect the company’s focus on resilience, sustainability, and comfort, ensuring that their people have the right environment to deliver high-quality services.
To celebrate the opening, Williams Shipping welcomed representatives from the Port of Milford Haven, local agents, and stakeholders to Quay 3. The event included a trip up river aboard the fast launch Willprospect, offering guests a hands-on experience of the agile marine support the company provides.
The official opening was led by our Commercial Manager Sharon Adams, alongside Williams Shipping’s Managing Director of Marine, Philip Williams, and Marine Operations Manager, Toby Forester.
